Student Common Room
The student common room is situated on the top floor of Building 301 (room 220) and is normally available for use by all students in the Department of Imaging and Applied Physics. After hours access to this room is also permitted for those students who have valid after hours passes. Students generally use the common room as a place to eat, for social gatherings and as a collaborative work-study room. The common room may become very busy and noisy around lunch times and during exam periods, so you cannot always count on completing an assignment or studying at these times. You may even find the odd student sleeping overnight as they cram for exams.
The common room contains a microwave, small electric oven and a refrigerator for general student use. There is also an additional refrigerator from which cool drinks and food may be purchased at discount prices courtesy of the Physics Students' Social Club.
As well as being a great place to check up on assignments or labs, the common room also provides access to a stapler and hole punch for those last minute hand-ins.
